LG launches three L Series II devices, Optimus L7II to be released first

Ahead of the Mobile World Congress that begins later this month, LG Electronics has announced the launch of its new Optimus L SeriesII smartphones. The company is launching three smartphones in this series: the dual-SIM variant L7II, the L3II and the L5II.
The L7II is the first device that will be launched. This has 4.3-inch touch screen, along with a 1GHz Dual-Core processor. It comes with 4GB space and 768 MB RAM and a space for micro-SD slot. The camera is 8.0 megapixel with LED Flash for the rear one and the front camera is VGA. The device runs Android 4.1 aka Jelly Bean.

The L3II has 3.2-inch screen while the L5II has a 4-inch screen. The new range of devices will run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, according to the company.

LG is also offering features such as LQuickMemo, Quick Button and Safety Care in the new devices. QuickMemo allows users to capture and share handwritten ideas with others using just a fingertip. Quick Button enables customers to personalize a hotkey to launch any app such as the camera, browser, music player or even QuickMemo. Safety Care offers three options – Emergency Call Forwarding, Phone Non-Usage Notice and My Location Notice – which can be programmed to contact a loved one in case of an emergency.
The L Series was widely successful for LG, with the company selling over 10 million Optimus L Series phones in the first 10 months.
The L series II will come in both Dual-SIM and single SIM versions.
“LG has a history of pushing the envelope when it comes to style and Optimus L SeriesII builds on this heritage of design innovation,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “By evolving the sophisticated style and premium features of the original Optimus L Series, its sequel is expected to continue the popularity of the L Series around the world.”
The Dual SIM version of the Optimus L7II will be the first of the new series to launch, making its debut in Russia this week.
